Winter Weather

So this was a crazy day for me, it started yesterday on the way home. It got really cold, really fast. I don't think the weathermen knew this crazy weather was coming. I woke up this morning to an inch of thick ice on the roads. I HAD to drive on it. It took me about 45 minutes to drop my daughter off at her Nanny's! I nearly got side swiped in the process of taking her because one vehicle decided not to notice the ice and drive the normal speed limit!!! I mean come on if everyone else is going 2 miles an hour b/c theres ice on the road, then you probably should go that speed too. Well looking back there was a wreck and I believe it was the same vehicle! I think they were ok but take the warning folks. If the roads are dangerous, take caution!

So I worked back in Cash n Carry today, there were not windows. So as a co-worker and I were eating lunch. We noticed the weather again. Black/brown clouds, nice. Then Rain, Sleet, Wind, Sun, Ice all in one day. You just have to enjoy Lubbock weather.

I am glad I made it safe to drop my daughter off then safely on to work. It was my big blessing today. As for another blessing, Samantha went to be easy tonight! I love that little girl!

Have a blessed day!

Pay it forward.

So this morning bright and very early, I managed to go to Wal-Mart for some grocery shopping before the storm hit. It was quiet pleasant, nobody was there yet. I actually got to "play" and not just get in and get out.
Well I went all over Wal-Mart and towards the end of my adventure, my cart started to make a horrible noise! So I decided it was time to go and made my way to the check out. As I am standing in line I remembered I forgot eggs..Needless to say with my cart situation and that the eggs are in the very back of the store, I will have to get eggs somewhere else.

So as I am standing in line there was a nice older women that was talking to me about how nice her adventure was today at Wal-Mart. She was precious!

My bill came to around $80.00, I paid with a $100.00 and had $20.00 left over. I told the gentleman behind the check out to apply my "change" to her bill. When I left, I just told her Merry Christmas! It was the best feeling. This curiousity of "paying it forward" may have planted a seed with me. I am curious as to what will grow from it. I know its the holiday season and this might have caused me to help her out, but I feel it is bigger than that.

The very funny part of this whole thing is, I got home and was missing my stew meat!! So not only did I help her out money wise but I will bet that she ended up with my stew meat also!! I hope I made her day! She was a sweet lady and we need more of them in this old world!

So , I will leave you with this , Pay it Forward!!

Why start this blog?

I have decided to start a blog mainly to narrate my life for my family. Just to let them know what is going on and to share pictures of Samantha, when they can't be there to witness all her many moments. Hey, in the process I might touch someone else's life! This blog is going to be a corky as I am. It may not make sense at times, but thats me.

The title of my blog and what it means, well, I by no means have grey hair, but it is more of a symbolism that an actuality. Grey hair is inevitable, you can color it but underneath it is still going to be there. Why not be proud of the life you have lived and show the grey off and not hide from it!

Life is meant to be lived and to have a wonderful time living it, all while giving God credit for the MANY blessings he has given you. They might not be noticable to you yet, but they are always there in numbers! Sometimes you might have to search for the blessings and sometimes they are apparent.

So take the time out of each day and try to find the blessings in that day and give God credit!

These are my blessings! My wonderful husband and beautiful daughter! I love you guys!!
