My calling

It is really hard to blog when you have a million other things going on..clean the house, make sure the kid is still kicking and has not gotten into anything she doesn't need to be in..I have been extremely sick these past couple of days and haven't wanted to do ANYTHING!! But blogging has been on my mind so I thought while Sami is in amazement with Aristocats, thought I might sneak one in today! This one might be too deep for some and others hopefully it helps..

I have wandered what my calling was from God...This hasn't been a recent thing by far..I always wonder what I am supposed to do on this earth..what my purpose was.. There has been several things lately that have all come back to prayer..you might have noticed on my FB that I have prayed for alot of people lately. This is because I am coming to the realization that this might be my calling. Ok so if it is..then I AM TERRIFIED..1) I have asked God for this not to be my thing ..ya know..I am not the one to sit down in a group and pray..tried that in college and HATED it.. 2. I haven't been big in church all my life..until recently..growing up my mama believed if you believe you were still going to go to Heaven..So if my calling s to pray someone needs to teach me all the in's and out's...

If this is my calling I need to learn to do it right..ok back to why I believe this is my calling ...I have been praying through faith lately for alot of friends and family..and it seems like God is hearing my prayers..It kinda creeps me out because I will pray for specific things..and they will happen..Let me clairify..not creepy like as in Friday the 13th creepy..but why listen to me out of all these people on the world..creepy.. This has all happened soo fast. This realization that prayer might be my thing on this earth..and if it is I want to make sure..because that is a BIG deal..

Raising the Bar Buffet Company

I have started to tap into my creative side and cater to birthdays, baby showers, and weddings! What am I catering..Desserts AND Candy!!! I got thrown into it doing this business while I was "thinking" about starting the business. I am blessed that people want me create a dessert or candy bar for their events!!

I just got through doing a candy bar for a 3 year olds birthday party! It was way fun and so cute. Brianna is my daughter's BFF.

I have another birthday party to cater this time it is a Sweet 16!!! I haven't worked out all the details yet BUT I am sure this party is going to be over the top!! I am excited to find out the theme and put my creative side to work for them!

A New Chapter...

The only time I ever have to post is early EARLY in the morning...I think we are about to embark on a new adventure...well to re visit a new adventure I should say..

Shane and I were wanting to build a house on the land we have..well of course when things are going good and God shows us that that isn't the way he has things planned for us.

After praying about it and praying about it, God has told us to move into town for the time being! So we are about to embark on a new adventure of living in town..Now those that know me. I have ALWAYS (with the exception on the last 8 year) lived in town. We tried a few years back to sell our house..OK I say tried, we had it sold and my husband said no. Well he has made his mind up to sell again. He hasn't lived in town since he was 12 so of course he is having mixed emotions about this. But I think it will be good for Sami to have a place to ride her Bikes and play at the parks and it will also give me a place to exercise, walk, run etc. I think this will be a good change. I am very excited. BUT I am told not to get our hopes up in the event that this also doesn't work out. BUT I LOVE THE POSSIBILITIES OUR FAMILY HAS WITH LIVING IN TOWN!! We are however going to miss the AMAZING neighbors that just moved in next door ): We finally have "cool" neighbors and we are leaving them, but I know our families will always get together to shoot our bows and have dinners.

So please pray for us that this process will be fast so that no minds will be changed and that we get to emark on this new adventure! Pray for us for Peace of Mind that this is the right decision.

Catch up

Since the last time I posted, we have accomplished many things! Samantha is now using the potty more regularly!! Yeah for that one! The other day Shane and I were having a serious conversation, and Samantha came up to me and said, " Mommy, Poopy...Mommy Here, PPOOOPPPYYYYY....ooooohh SHOEWEEEE!!!!" and handed me her dirty diaper that she ALREADY had taken off. WWYD in a situation like that. Laugh.. it was hysterical considering the conversation and that she was serious too!!

She dressed herself!!

We had Samantha's 2nd birthday last month, It was real fun. This year we had it at an old timey ice-cream shoppe!! The kids had a blast and the whole "package" was fairly inexpesive!! I was shocked that everyones ice-cream/drinks/shakes/etc (50 pple) just came out to roughly $50.00!!

Hmmm What else has gone on in the 5 months I haven't posted..lol...

OH!! We are in the process of moving!!! Kinda? Well if we can ever get our house sold , then we are planning to build a house out on our land!! That is exciting news! So if you know of anyone that is wanting a mobile home in good condition to move to their land, let us know!!

The kids got these boucing horses for Christmas, you can see they loved them, Sami looks terrified but she wasn't. She was rocking the horse soo hard this is how we caught her face!! Priceless!!

Saturday Fun

Today has been a real trying day! Samantha and I went EVERYWHERE this morning trying to put together a baby shower gift. I did the whole Get Samantha out of the car to only put her right back in thing oh about a million times! I am a strong believer of if you have to get out to look at the hours of a business that you can't see from your car, TAKE THE BABY OUT OF THE CAR! I am not going to end up a statistic! I have waited too long for this precious baby for that too happen. OK enough of my ranting and raving! LOL. So in reality she was really good but it is sad to say that I am just now realizing this as I type it. The shower gift turned out pretty well. and Sami had fun at the shower with Peyton and Teegan! Those are some cute little girls!!! and a hoot!! We took pictures of Samantha at the shower but I will have to upload them later. UGH I am getting back about not posting pics. I am just proud that you got three posts in a relatively short time period! HA. OH OH WAIT!!! random insert of thought here.. We did accomplish to go to Wal-Mart without Samantha climbing out of the cart!! and I got some grocery shopping done! So I am officially declaring this a win win day and not a trying day! I soo forgot about that! Lesson Learned! This is why I blog to realize lessons missed!

Quiet Time

Nothing special about this post..No pictures I have been up since 11:00. Samantha and I went to bed about 9:00 and I woke up at 11:00 thinking it was around 5 or 6:00. Guess that is a good thing. I feel refreshed!! We had a pretty rough evening. Thursday night went really good for the Downeys! Ha! Samantha helped me clean for a good hour! Did we make a dent in this house. NO! but she was a BIG help to me and we didn't fight at all! Since she gave me a break I thought I would return the favor and take her to Toys R Us to pick out some toys. HAHAHA..she has been crawling out of the shopping cart so I opted not to fight with the cart and just let her walk around! SHE RAN EVERYWHERE!! THREW FITS!! SCREAMED! But I was determined to get her a toy for her good behavior from Thursday. Sometimes you have to pick your battles..this is an old saying and I am trying hard to remember it from hour to hour. Samantha is a very strong willed little girl and sometimes (most of the time) I have little patience. I am working on that too. I call this whole process..The Trial and Error Twos!! As I type this Samantha is tossing and turning and I figure she is about to get up!! SO I am typing fast. A little bit ago she was saying "NO" in her sleep!! Probably telling me that..but then she started giggling..these are the moments that make up for the TRIAL AND ERROR TWOS...thats the end

I have been following her blog for a year now, Kelly's little Harper is about a month older than Samantha. It is fun to watch her grow up!
So I thought I would post some pictures of things that I have made and would like to sell but never got around to doing it. I am hoping this post gets some attention and maybe get me the motivation that I need. So if you would like to inquire about either of these things, just shoot me a message.
The first thing that I have made and thought came out to almost like the picture in my head were these invitations. Girls, you know the pictures in our head that are BEAUTIFUL, but when we actually attempt to make something it turns out less than steller...ya you know what I am talking about. So here are a couple things that turned out like the pictures in my head.

I have another 1st birthday invite that I have done, if you would like to see that just ask. I haven't edited the picture yet so I can't post it. These were really fun to make, I can do pretty much anything you like. I don't have prices yet, if anyone would like for me to make you an invite then just ask. Right now, I do not have set prices, maybe I will just price on an individual basis, as to what is wanted on the invite.
For halloween this year my daughter was a Veterinarian. She LOVES her puppy and can pretty much be seen with it everywhere. So I dropped the ball this year on buying her costume. I decided to try and make it. I think it turned out pretty well. So if your interested in next year for Halloween, I can make your little on this costume OR it would make for some cute dress up clothes!!
